थूथुकुडी शहर के बारे में
थूथुकुडी एक बंदरगाह शहर है जो मन्नार की खाड़ी में लगभग 125 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। केप कोमोरिन के उत्तर में। 05.08.2008 को थूथुकुडी शहर को एक निगम के रूप में पदोन्नत किया गया था। यह नगर नगर निगम 90.663 वर्ग किलोमीटर में फैला हुआ है। और 2001 की जनगणना के अनुसार इसकी जनसंख्या 3,20,466 है। थूथुकुडी निगम को वर्ष 2011 में अपने विस्तार के बाद 60 वार्डों में विभाजित किया गया है और इन वार्डों को चार क्षेत्रों – (यानी) पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर और दक्षिण में शामिल किया गया है। ईस्ट जोन में 14-16 और 19-33 वार्ड हैं, वेस्ट जोन में 34-47 वार्ड हैं, नॉर्थ जोन में 1-13 और 17,18 वार्ड हैं और साउथ जोन में 48-60 वार्ड हैं।

The Hon'ble Mayor Mr. P. Jagan and the Commissioner Mrs. T. Charusree IAS inspected the ongoing development work of the Muthunagar Beach Park under the Smart City Project. Departmental Officers participated in the study (17.03.2022)

The Vallanad Head Pumping Station which supplies drinking water to the metropolitan areas of Thoothukudi was inspected by the Hon'ble Mayor Mr. P. Jagan and the Deputy Mayor Mrs. C. Genita and the Commissioner Mrs. T. Charusree IAS (09.03.2022).

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Mr. MK Stalin inspected the road repair works and storm water drainage works in Bryant Nagar, State Bank Shoes, Ambedkar Nagar and Kumaran Nagar areas affected by the northeast monsoon.
